Understanding comprehensive heart panels

A heart panel bundles several blood tests so you and your clinician can see more of the picture at once. Use the 3D tube rack to see what each A-List panel includes.

Text description of this 3D model

A blue rack holding twelve sample containers in two rows: tubes labeled Lipid panel, ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, Homocysteine, CMP, CBC with differential, ALT, CoQ10, Aldosterone, Renin, and a urine cup for Urinalysis. Choosing a panel dims the tests it doesn't include. Selecting a test lifts its tube and shows what it measures. The same information is available with the buttons below.

Key points

What to know

  • Panels combine a standard lipid panel with markers that answer different questions: particle number (ApoB), inheritance (Lp(a)), inflammation (hs-CRP) and general health (CMP, CBC, urinalysis).
  • More tests aren't automatically better. The right panel depends on your history, current treatment and the questions you and your clinician want answered.
  • Each A-List panel price includes the lab order, in-home collection, supplies and lab processing. No surprise lab bill for the listed tests.
  • All seven panels can be booked online through Stan Store, where you pick your appointment and see your total before paying.

Practical questions

What Happens Next?

What's included in the advertised price?

Each listed panel price includes the required lab order, standard mobile blood collection, collection supplies, and laboratory testing and processing. The only extra cost is an optional upgrade you choose yourself, such as the $60 Vein Finder. You'll see your final total in Stan Store before you pay.

Does A-List arrange the lab order?

Yes. For these heart panels A-List arranges the required lab order, so you don't need to bring your own.

Where are mobile collections available?

Raleigh and nearby communities, including Cary, Apex, Garner, Morrisville, Wake Forest, Fuquay-Varina and Durham. Not sure if you're covered? Call 919-794-5683 before booking.

How does scheduling work?

You choose an available date and time inside the Stan Store checkout. There's no separate scheduling step. Times are shown in Eastern Time.

What happens after payment?

You'll get preparation instructions, A-List arranges the lab order, and a certified phlebotomy technician comes to your home or office for the draw. Some tests need fasting and some don't, so follow the instructions you're given. Never stop or change a medication on your own.

How are results delivered, and who interprets them?

Your report is emailed to you through the testing partner's results system, usually within 1–3 business days. Some tests take longer. A-List collects samples but doesn't diagnose or interpret results. Please review them with your healthcare provider.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund. Later cancellations have a $50 fee, and completed services are nonrefundable. See the Heart Panels FAQ for full details.

Taking a statin?

The Statin Check-Up Panel

Combines a lipid panel with ALT (a liver enzyme often checked around statin therapy), CoQ10 (which statins can lower; its clinical meaning is still being studied) and hs-CRP. It does not confirm that a medication is safe or right for you, and it supports, not replaces, the follow-up your prescriber recommends.

Other tests in the panels

CMP, CBC, urinalysis & homocysteine

The CMP checks glucose, kidney and liver function and electrolytes. The CBC looks at blood cells. Urinalysis screens a urine sample. Homocysteine is an amino acid influenced by B-vitamins, kidney function and genetics. Together they add general-health context to heart markers.

What this test can do

  • Show several aspects of heart health from one blood draw
  • Give you and your clinician a broader baseline
  • Save separate trips for separate tests

What it can't do on its own

  • Diagnose heart disease
  • Replace an exam, blood-pressure checks or imaging your clinician recommends
  • Decide treatment on their own

Questions to bring to your clinician

  • “Which of these markers would be most useful for me?”
  • “Is there anything I should avoid before the draw?”
  • “How will we review the results together?”
